The Ecclesia shares together with Christ not only His allotment among the celestials, but His ministry, His administration, and ultimately His glory as the complement of God.

These truths elevate the believer’s calling far beyond ordinary religious imagination.

We are part of something cosmic, eternal, and breathtakingly vast.

To Know God Correctly Changes Everything

There are very few things in existence that we truly know in their essence. We know facts about electricity, gravity, and countless other realities, yet we cannot fully explain what they are in themselves. But Scripture tells us plainly what God is: “God is love.”

Love is not merely something that God possesses. It is not one attribute balanced against wrath or justice. Love is His essence, His nature, the substance of His being. Every act of God therefore flows from this nature. Whether He judges, disciplines, restores or redeems, all of His actions are expressions of perfect love.

The revelation of Jesus Christ confirms this completely. Christ is called the brightness of the Father’s glory and the exact image of His substance. Everything beautiful, compassionate, patient and gracious in Christ is a revelation of the Father Himself.

To know God correctly changes everything. Fear begins to dissolve. Suspicion fades. We stop interpreting God through the lens of human cruelty and begin seeing Him through the face of Jesus Christ. The more clearly we see His character, the more fully our hearts can trust Him.

Present Truth for Today

Present Truth for today is to be recognized as being the exclusive revelation of truth made known to Paul while he was a Prisoner of Jesus Christ when the Pentecostal Dispensation ended.

In past ages and dispensations, God spoke audibly to the world, or to special groups, or to select individuals. Today, He speaks to believers through His completed written Word – the height of which are the truths for the current Dispensation of the Grace of God.

You Don't Have to Have the Right Words

When someone is hurting, we often feel like we need to say something that will make everything better. I’ve learned that usually there aren’t any words that can do that.

When my niece and her son were killed, nobody could explain it away. Nobody could make it hurt less. But people showed up. They brought meals. They hugged people. They sat quietly. They took care of practical things.

Sometimes that’s exactly what love looks like. You don’t have to fix people. Just love them.

Benefits From Suffering

It’s normal to avoid suffering, but our Father takes us through it to build more of His good spirit into us. The results speak for themselves: genuine love, true happiness, inner serenity, enduring patience, things like these. If you’re not yet enjoying benefits like these, you haven’t yet reached the bottom of things. Not to worry, there is a bottom, and you’ll be there before you know it. About the time the self-guided tour turns into a nightmare, it’s time to relax, take a deep breath, and be ready for a little foretaste of the good Destiny your infinite Source has in store for you. All is going as planned. Death is nothing but a stop along the way.

Some of us get to enjoy a taste of the good things to come even while in these dying bodies. Others don’t. But the message I’m here to say is that no one will be left out. Jesus died for everyone, not just a few. His death is reckoned as our death, his resurrection, our resurrection, including not only us, but all creation. The good news is better than we thought – WAY better – but that doesn’t mean we don’t have some humanly impossible things to go through. The good thing is, we’re no longer mere humans on the other side, and perhaps, we never were.

The Abrogation of the Installments

Many contradictions will be found in the Bible if we do not “correctly partition the word of truth” (II Timothy 2:15, CV). What was true of Israel is not true of the nations. Scripture came by “instalments” and the last “instalment” had not yet come when Paul wrote to the Corinthians. Previous “instalments”were abrogated with the advent of “maturity” (I Corinthians 13:8-12). This did not fully arrive until Paul’s imprisonment. Then, however, it was granted to him to “complete the Word of God” (Colossians 1:25). Paul’s prison epistles alone give us full maturity. Only they contain no immature enigmas. All previous interpretation must be adjusted to them.

Father is Teaching Us to Relax

As children grow, their perspective of problems changes. What devastates a three-year-old means nothing to a ten-year-old. The older child sees what the younger cannot: that the crisis is not really as overwhelming as it appears.

Clyde Pilkington uses this simple observation to illustrate our own spiritual immaturity. Many of the things that consume our worries today may one day appear very small from God’s higher vantage point.

We often fret, complain and panic over circumstances that seem catastrophic in the moment. Yet from the perspective of our Heavenly Father, these situations are temporary and purposeful. What feels like our world falling apart may simply be another stage in our growth.

Spiritual maturity slowly changes our reactions. Fretting gives way to faith. Complaining is replaced by thanksgiving. Anxiety softens into expectation. Like Paul, we gradually learn contentment in all circumstances.

One day, from our celestial perspective, we may look back at many of our earthly crises and realize they were much ado about nothing.

Father is teaching us to relax and rest in Him.

Which "Church"?

The Greek word translated “church” in the King James Version is “ecclesia” and means “called out ones.” There are various “called out ones” in the Scriptures, but only one at the present time. These are believers, constituting the Body of Christ with Christ as the Head, crucified, buried, risen, ascended and seated with Him in the heavenlies, and revealed only in Ephesians and Colossians.

The “church” during the book of Acts was a corporate body of believers that belonged to Christ. In I Corinthians 12 a parallel is drawn between a physical body and the body (group) of believers. They were members one of another, just as the members of a physical body are. The head (:21) represented a member (not Christ) and is no more important that the foot or any other member. Christ was not the Head of that “church.” Nowhere does it mention that Christ was the Head of the “church” during the book of Acts.

The “Church” which is Christ’s Body is distinct from every other church in the Scriptures. It is not the “church” in the wilderness (Acts 7:38); neither is it the “church” (“congregation”) spoken of in Psalm 22:22 and Hebrews 2:12. This “called out” Body, with Christ as the Head, cannot be found in prophecy or traced in any previous writings prior to Ephesians and Colossians. It was chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4) and is the only group of “called out ones” whose destiny is in the heavenlies. We will be manifested with Him in glory in the heavenlies, a witness to principalities and powers during the coming ages (Colossians 3:3; Ephesians 3:10).

He Will Not Begin What He Cannot Complete

Thou wilt have a desire to the work of Thine hands (Job 14:15).

The Great Workman is interested in His work, He has a “desire” to it, and He will not begin what He cannot complete. For the creature to fail of the purpose of its creation implies a failure on the part of the Creator, and this cannot be in the government of God. “My counsel shall stand,” He says, “and I will do all My pleasure” (Isaiah 46:10). Hence we may be sure that the ultimate purpose in the creation of everyone, whatever it may be, will be surely carried out; as the Creator cannot fail, neither can His creations. Thus does it appear that in the final outcome of man’s creation the honor of the Most High is involved, and He is bound to make that outcome a successful and glorious one in order to vindicate that honor.
