At the beginning of American Government class, Dr. Claire gave every student a pocket Constitution. Happily, those pages are now well worn, and the students have committed to keeping this important document permanently!

Congratulations to our High School students on their many awards this year--from Science Fair to High School Excellence Book Awards, these students deserve recognition both for their hard work and the quality of that work!

Congratulations to ISW's High School Excellence Award winners! Categories included Best Project, Best Creative Writing, Best Non-Fiction Writing, Best Visual Arts, Best Performing Arts.

Prom 2026!

ISW's Robotics Team finished the year with a presentation to our elementary students. In addition to showing off the robot, they engaged the younger students in a super fun activity that demonstrated the importance of giving exact instructions when coding!

Congratulations to ISW High School students on their Benchmarks Projects! Each year, student create projects of their own design. In the 9th grade, the focus is on creating a documentary with the choice of topic up to the student. The 10th grade Milestone Project format is entirely up to the student, and this year's crop included a novel based on mythology and a field guide to insects. The junior year finds students conducting career explorations, and in the senior year, students complete an internship in the community.

As ISW students look toward college applications, they have an incredible portfolio of independent research and work to share with universities! Bravo, ISW High School students and many thanks to their Benchmarks Mentor, Dr. Crista Warniment.

It's Readathon Week, and we have special readers coming in every day! Two of our High School students read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to the elementary students in both Spanish and English. They loved a visit from the big kids and were very pleased to report all the Spanish words they recognized!
