This week our little learners took a trip to the islands! 🌊☀️

We have had so much fun learning about hula dancing, trying fresh coconut, and creating our own colorful leis. 🌺🥥💃

The children explored a different culture through movement, taste, and hands-on creativity. From practicing hula moves to discovering what fresh coconut tastes like and designing beautiful leis, it has been an adventure full of smiles, learning, and island-inspired fun!

We love providing opportunities for our students to experience new traditions and explore the world around them through play and discovery. 🌎❤️

Today’s story wasn’t found in a book—it was found in a bottle of sunscreen! 🧴😎

Our little learners spent time discovering why sunscreen is important and how it helps protect our skin while we enjoy outdoor adventures. We talked about staying safe in the sun, making healthy choices, and taking care of our bodies.

Of course, being preschoolers, the discussion quickly expanded to include whether dinosaurs wore sunscreen, if bugs can get sunburned, and whether sunscreen works on superheroes. 🦖🐞🦸

The jury is still out on a few of those questions, but one thing is certain: our students are becoming sun-safe superstars! ☀️⭐

We also talked about how we don’t eat sunscreen, but full disclosure our sunscreen was whipped cream and you can’t let that go to waste 🤣

Whoever said summer school isn’t cool obviously wasn't a SARA student! ☀️☀️😎

Our crew of young learners are busy navigating letters, stories, laughter, and discovery. The best ships aren’t built to stay in the harbor—and the best learners aren’t afraid to explore! 🚢💙🧡

🦖✨ SARA’s 2nd Annual Summer Literacy Camp is coming! ✨🗺️

This year, we’re going on a Dino Explorer Adventure filled with stories, fossils, treasure hunts, fun activities, sign language, basic language learning, and hands-on literacy instruction.

We have two age groups:

Preschoolers are Dino-Mite! for ages 3–5
Our youngest campers will explore early phonics, letter recognition, vocabulary, comprehension, and dinosaur-themed learning activities. They’ll even take home their very own alphabet sight book!

Adventure Explorers! for ages 6–9
Our older campers will search for rhymes, clues, consonants, vowels, sight words, context clues, sentence skills, writing skills, and more. They’ll also create their own storybook adventure!
