🚌🍎This week's "Teacher Feature" is Mrs. Melanie Grant. Mrs. Grant has been teaching for 29 years. She has taught at Madison Middle, Foley, and at RDC. Mrs. Grant teaches the 7th grade Paxton Patterson Lab. She really enjoys all of the hands-on activities in the lab. Mrs. Grant told us the lab gives students experience in different careers to find out what they are interested in.
Mrs. Grant thinks the lab will help students sample and choose career paths in the future. . A piece of advice she would give to someone in the Paxton Patterson Lab is to take advantage of the opportunities. If she didn't teach the lab she would teach Social Studies again. Mrs. Grant wanted to become a teacher because her dad influenced her. He was a vocational teacher. Outside of school, Mrs. Grant enjoys being involved with her church, doing crafts (see pictures of her extraordinary crafts), and working outdoors. Thanks for talking with us, Mrs. Grant!
