Founded in 1977, SCAA was developed from a community art initiative to provide non-credit enrichment opportunities in the fine arts.

Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy (SCAA) provides classes for students ages 3-adult in Dance, Theatre, Private and Group Music Instruction, Visual Arts, and Fencing. The regional academy began with two piano students. Today, the SCAA serves more than 1,400 students of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and economic levels, who share in the joy and rewards of an arts education. The current faculty of more than 80 professionally trained musicians, dancers, artists and educators, including Shenandoah Conservatory faculty and alumni, share their own performing and teaching experiences with each student.

🎶 We're going on a bear hunt...we're gonna catch a big one...I'm not scared! 🎶

Last week, our Art Start students had a bear hunt scavenger hunt around the halls of SCAA! While searching for pictures of bears around the building, our Pre-K students learned about bear habitats and hibernation to coincide with the changing of the seasons. 🍂🐻
