✨Congratulations to our dancers who performed in the mainstage opera 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐥 & 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥!!

Shenandoah Conservatory presented Engelbert Humperdinck’s beloved opera “Hänsel & Gretel” (Hansel & Gretel) last weekend, bringing the classic fairy tale to life through a vibrant, fully staged production. Guest directed by Candace Evans, this production featured a cast of student performers alongside a collaborative creative team, and the production showcased the conservatory’s commitment to interdisciplinary training and storytelling.

Emily Adams (BA Dance and BA Musical Theatre) explored the evolving life of Romeo and Juliet, asking how we continue to keep art relevant in today’s world.

Rowan Lippy (BA Dance and BS Elementary Education with a Certification in Special Education) examined dance as a powerful tool for building phonological awareness and supporting literacy in young readers.

Last night we celebrated research, curiosity, and impact. 👏🏼
