Today during club day we had our jacket ceremony! Students had the opportunity to order an FFA jacket during our jacket party a few weeks back and today they started their FFA jacket journey. Before our receptions got their jacket, our officers gave a paragraph of what the jacket means to them and our Leadership Committee Chair Callie Fleming read the FFA jacket poem. We also gave the October Freshman of the Month award to Emerson Kincaid and Member of the Month to Wyatt Dunn. Congratulations to everyone who got their jacket and hope it takes you many places and makes many memories!

Yesterday was a roller coaster for the Clark County FFA! We started out the day with some of our executive team go out to our Community Center and volunteered to help set up for their community closet sale. Next we had our SAE walkthrough for our Principals of Agriculture classes. This was a way to show all of the students what an SAE is and different ideas of how to start their own. Lastly after school we had a PAL workshop bootcamp. The students who are wanting to become a PAL had the opportunity to learn some skills for their upcoming interviews and also got a chance to get to know all the students who are wanting to be in the program. We had so much fun and can’t wait for the next event!

In honor of All in for Ag Ed week we are having a coloring farmer contest with our very own Super Intendant, Farmer Howard! All papers are due on September 30th, we’re so excited to see all the farmer Howard’s!!

This past week we had our first freshman leadership bootcamp. We started with splitting into two teams and we had a quick lesson on leadership and teamwork. Soon after we played floating tiles, where each team has to get across with only using tiles and if they leave one behind, they lose it. Finally we played water kickball to end of the camp. We had a blast and can’t wait to have our next one!

This past Tuesday our Executive team helped serve food at the Clark County Youth Investment Sale! We even had some of our committee chairs, Kullan McIntosh and Callie Fleming,show their sheep. We had some of our members, Kate Fisher, Avery Jones, and Cameron Fuller show off their livestock as well. Our past president Heidi Castle was also apart of the sale as it was her last showing and last but certainly not least we had Baley and Wyatt show their hogs as well! Thank you to all who came and helped and cheered on our members!

WHAT AN AMAZING RUSH WEEK!! This past week we’ve had our annual FFA rush week! We had amazing dress up days, after school activities, and our first club day! We had such an amazing time getting to know the new members and have them get to know our 26-27 executive team. During club day we announced our duck hunt winner and trading cards winner. Our duck hunt winner was AB Molands! And our trading cards winner was Payton Lewis!! Special thanks to everyone who participated and we will see you later!!
