Our Driver Middle School 8th grade students are excited for the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., to experience our nation’s history and government firsthand! We are seeking donations from community members and local businesses to help make this meaningful educational experience possible for all of our students. Any contribution, large or small, will help offset trip expenses and ensure our students have the opportunity to participate. Please contact the DMS principal, Anna Spencer, if you are interested in making a contribution to the Washington, D.C. fund. DMS 8th graders had the opportunity to visit the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis to explore Native American art. This field trip connects to a project students have been researching, designing and building in Social Studies about the lives of Native Americans. What a great learning opportunity!

Mr. Ehrhart's 8th graders started their bubble lab this week. They used this lab to review the scientific process, writing a hypothesis, and variables. What a great way to learn about science systems!

Students in 8th grade Careers classes have been talking about planning for life after high school and learned about the 3 E’s: Enrollment, Enlistment, and Employment. They each chose the path that currently interests them most and created a pennant representing their future goals - whether that was a college/trade school, branch of the military, or a future career.
