Get ready to kick off your academic journey at Shenandoah University with Academic Orientation, taking place Thursday, Aug. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. across various campus locations.

This important event is required for all first-year and transfer students and offers the perfect opportunity to connect with faculty and administrators from your academic program. It’s your first step toward building meaningful relationships and feeling confident in the classroom.

We are so excited to welcome our new Hornets to campus! Welcome Week begins on August 26 with Arrival Day and continues through August 31. All Welcome Week events are open to incoming first-year and transfer students!

Returning Student Move-In
- Saturday, Aug. 29 or Sunday, Aug. 30
- Move-in times: 10 a.m.–6 p.m. or 9 p.m.–midnight

Need to arrive early? Eligible students can request an early arrival by completing the Early Arrival Request Form in the Housing Portal under Break & Roster Forms. The deadline to submit your request is Aug. 10.

Looking to earn while you learn? Consider applying for a work-study position! Gain experience and create your own schedule that works with your class/school load. Applications open soon for the 2026–2027 academic year; your future self will thank you!

This opportunity is open to all full-time undergraduate students who have completed the FAFSA. Students must accept their work-study award via Hornet Hub. Only students who accept their award will be enrolled in the 2026-27 Work4SU Canvas Organization.
