We had our first library checkouts for the school year! Next week we begin class checkouts. Baker students get to visit the library every other week with their ELA/reading teacher. We can't wait to see everyone in the library!

The Clark County Public Library always has fun activities planned! Check out this opportunity they have for next Saturday!
Experience the ways of Buhurt Armored Combat--full contact armored fighting. Knights will be suited up in full armor and take down their opponent using mixed-martial arts techniques. Enjoy watching real armored fights, learn about historical armor, and take pictures with the knights!

As we begin wrapping up the school year, I want to take a moment to thank the 2025-2026 Baker News Crew. From working cameras, computers, and teleprompters to reporting what's happening at school, this student-run news crew reported live from Baker each morning. They were a wonderful group to work with!

It was fitting to end National Library Week with two of our wonderful librarians, Ms. Misty and Mr. Kellen, from the Clark County Public Library. They challenged students' word skills today with a game of Boggle. We are so lucky to have such great programs and librarians at the public library

We've been working on stop-motion animation projects in library related arts classes. These reflective innovators drafted a story, pitched their ideas to group members, and then collaborated with their groups to animate the story. Their creativity definitely showed!
