Today is Give Like Dolly Day! ❤️

Dolly believed that when you’re in a position to help, you should help. She gave generously, dreamed big for children and spent her life finding ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

Today, we’re carrying that spirit forward. Consider giving $9.25 in honor of Give Like Dolly Day!

📚 We invite you to by supporting children in your own community. Find your local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program and discover how you can help put books into the homes of children where you live.

🫶 Help bring books to your community: If the Imagination Library isn’t available where you live, learn how you can help bring a local program to your community. Visit imaginationlibrary.com and select your country from the main menu to explore how to get started.

Every community has an opportunity to give a little love, lend a hand and help a child dream a little bigger.

📚 GIVE LIKE DOLLY ON 9/25

What can $9.25 do?

By itself, it may not seem like much. But when 108 people give together, it becomes nearly $1,000 to help put books into the hands of Adams County children.

That’s the idea behind Give Like Dolly.

On September 25, we’re asking 108 people to give just $9.25 to support the Adams County Imagination Library Fund and help keep books arriving in local mailboxes month after month.

Since Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library began serving Adams County children in February 2020, the impact has been remarkable:

📚 80,855 books mailed to Adams County children
📬 1,175 children currently receiving a free book every month
🎓 1,759 local children have already graduated from the program
❤️ Approximately 67% of Adams County children under age five are currently enrolled

Every enrolled child receives a free, age-appropriate book in the mail each month from birth until their fifth birthday. There is never a cost to the family, but local support is essential to keeping the program going.

Leadership Adams serves as the Local Program Partner and manages the Adams County Imagination Library Fund, while the Adams County Public Library processes registrations and maintains local enrollment records.

Tomorrow, September 25, we’re asking Adams County to Give Like Dolly.

108 donors. $9.25 each. One day. Nearly $1,000 for local children.

Give at:
https://www.ohioimaginationlibrary.org/donate

When making your donation, select Adams County to ensure your gift supports children right here at home.

Because $9.25 may be a small gift—but put together, those gifts can help build home libraries, encourage a love of reading and place thousands more books into the hands of Adams County children.

Give Like Dolly on 9/25

Since 2020, more than 80,000 books have made their way into the homes of Adams County children through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio.

On September 25, we’re asking our community to help keep those books coming.

Our goal is simple: 108 people giving $9.25 on 9/25. Together, those gifts will raise nearly $1,000 to support the Adams County Imagination Library Fund.

Today, 1,175 local children receive a free, age-appropriate book in the mail every month—approximately 67% of all children under age five in Adams County. Another 1,759 children have already graduated from the program since it began locally in February 2020. Altogether, 80,855 books have been mailed to Adams County children.

The books are provided at no cost to participating families, but there is a local cost to make the program possible. Leadership Adams serves as the Local Program Partner and manages the Adams County Imagination Library Fund, while the Adams County Public Library processes registrations and maintains the local enrollment database.

A gift of $9.25 may seem small, but when a community gives together, small gifts can have a lasting impact.

On September 25, we invite you to Give Like Dolly.

108 donors. $9.25 each. Nearly $1,000 to help put more books into the hands and homes of Adams County children.

Give on September 25 at:
