IMPORTANT REMINDER AS OF AUG. 3rd from West Virginia Regarding the HOPE Scholarship:

"Hope Scholarship Reminder: (This is directly from the Hope Scholarship Program Email)

The Hope Scholarship Program is in the midst of confirming that new Hope students have Notice of Intents (NOIs) on file with their local county boards. With our new Quarterly Funding Policy, all applications that are not Approved by August 1 will not be funded until October 15. Due to this cut off, we are asking for your help in reaching out to your families to have them double check that their application is Approved. If their application is not Approved but still listed as Eligible they need to check with their local county board of education to have their Hope NOI recorded. The link to the Hope NOI and the county board of education contact list is below to share with your new families.

For your returning Hope scholarship students, we are also diligently working on updating annual progress and attendance requirements that were submitted late or needed corrected with their local county board of education offices. We run reports daily for these items and move applications to Approved. If returning Hope students’ applications are not Approved but still listed as Conditionally Eligible, they need to check with their local county board of education or call the WV State Treasurer’s Office at 304-340-5058 for guidance. As a reminder, with our new Quarterly Funding Policy, all applications that are not Approved by August 1 will not be funded until October 15.

Please send correspondence to your Hope Scholarship families asking them to log into their Hope Scholarship account and check to see if their student’s application is in the Approved status.
