A big congratulations to our middle school Lions basketball team! They played hard all week in the Grundy County Jingle Bell Invitational Tournament and came out on top as CHAMPIONS!
Colton Cox, Mason Woodall, Weber Bradford, Connor Parker and Memphis Foster all were recognized as All-Tournament players.
Thank you to our coaches Cory Glenn and Josh Neal and Athletic Director Maureen Cox for all the time and love you give to these young athletes!

A big congratulations to our Elementary Lady Lions and Lions basketball teams for an amazing season!
Elementary Lady Lions ended the season UNDEFEATED and were given the Franklin County Girls Basketball Regular Season Champion trophy! They also came out on top as CHAMPIONS of the county-wide tournament!
Elementary Lions also had an awesome season finishing 7-1! They received the Franklin County Boys Basketball Runner-Up trophy. They also fought hard in the county-wide tournament and finished as the boys runner up team!
That’s a lot to be proud of and we’re grateful to our coaches Katie Baggett, Cheryl Heatherly, Jeana Stidham, Chris Blevins and Shane Stovall for all the time, attention and love you pour into these athletes.

The WCA Jazz Band spread the joy of Christmas today for the Wi******er Noon Rotary Club. Their meeting was held at the Franklin County Country Club and our Jazz Band had the honor of providing musical entertainment! 🎶🎷

WCA has been represented in so many fun ways this holiday season!
Sophia Green, Emmaline Greer, Stella Kate Reed, Harper Morris and Nellie Dwyer were chosen to perform with Center Stage Dance Co. on Disney’s Beauty and the Best Stage. They also danced during the parade at Magic Kingdom.
Alex Wiley, Daisy Kate Price, Emma Rice, Moira Hamilton, London Tipps, Maddy Wiley and Harper Rice all performed in The Nutcracker at South Jackson Civic Center Performance Playhouse in Tullahoma.
Awesome job, Lions! Way to spread that Christmas cheer!

A big congratulations to our upper school students that attended the National Beta Club State Convention this week at Opryland Hotel! This group represented WCA quite well during the competitions.

We enjoyed having our families this morning for a very special Thanksgiving devotion time. Students helped Mr. Joseph lead worship as we prayed and gave thanks to the Lord for all our many blessings.

Fifth grade visited the Hermitage in Nashville last week! They learned about Andrew Jackson, his personal story and a little about the reasoning behind some of his unpopular decisions. They toured his home, the cemetery, and the beautiful grounds including the slave dwellings and heard some of their stories.
What a beautiful day for such an amazing field trip 🍂☀️

The WCA PRIDE PTO food drive begins today!
WCA loves giving back to the community. All goods collected will be donated to Campora Family Resource Center. Campora builds Thanksgiving food boxes for families in our community during the holiday season.
A note was sent home in your child’s folder about the food assigned to each grade level. Please turn in any donations by Friday, November 4th.

Eighth and ninth graders visited beautiful Cheekwood Gardens in Nashville yesterday during their Harvest Festival. 🍂🎃
Students enjoyed learning the history of Cheekwood Estate and Gardens while exploring the grounds.
The first annual Make Your Mark Golf Tournament was a tremendous success!

Our WCA Golf Team and Coach Mike Oliver manned the putting contest throughout the day and got in a little extra practice while there.
Funds raised from the MYM Golf Tournament will be used towards fulfilling our phased plan for building our new middle and high school facilities.
