To me, it's not only Friday, March 13th, it's the 25th anniversary of being in business. 😄

The journey of the self-employed is not for the faint of heart. It takes perseverance, dedication and a willingness to know when some things must come to an end.

Sometimes life seems to throw a whole lot at us at once.

Have you ever felt that way?

Here's what I have learned. Every day is a new beginning.

We can't change yesterday and we don't have control over tomorrow. What if we learned to live in the present moment? How different would our lives be?

I know that when I begin to feel anxious it's because I'm living in the future. I don't know what the future brings and it may actually be better than anything I imagined!

Good things are ahead!

Sometimes challenges can seem insurmountable and require us to take a step back to re-examine how to proceed. I've been there as most of us have.

Challenges give us growth opportunities.

When faced with a challenge instead of asking why this is happening to me, ask what can I learn from this? It's a subtle shift and one that can make a world of difference!

What is "normal"? Welcome to September! We are in meteorological fall. Those of us in the Northern Hemisphere are preparing for shorter and cooler days. A good book, a warm, cozy blanket and a crackling fire is a perfect afternoon for me!

Are you in a rebuilding year? This weekend marks the unofficial end of summer and that also means that baseball is coming to a close for the regular season. When it seems like your team(s) are always in a “rebuilding” year, one begins to wonder if the team will ever get to the playoffs again?

How many times have you not done something because you didn't believe you could?

I've been there. I doubted my own abilities.

As Winnie the Pooh says "Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."

What if you ARE braver than you believe? What if you ARE stronger than you seem? What if you ARE smarter than you think? How would that change your world?

I believe we all have talents, strengths and abilities that we don't let out into the world because we don't think we are enough OR we think we are too much.

What if you let those talents, strengths and abilities come to light?

So what if you don't succeed on the first attempt! There are more opportunities to let your light shine!!

I want to help you bring your innate talents, strengths and abilities out into the world!! What would you do if you knew you could not fail?? Let's GO!

How many times have you wished you had spoken up during a meeting?

You hesitated because you thought your words would be dismissed or you might not sound very smart?

This has happened far too many times to me and I'll bet it has for you, too.

As a leader, we need to be sure the voices in the room are given an opportunity to speak. These voices may just change the trajectory of the project, the meeting, the company.

Many times over the years, I've found myself thinking that I wish I could be more like so-and-so. More creative, more proactive, more organized. . . you get the idea.

Here's the reality. I am ME! There's no one like me. Never has been. Never will be. That's a GREAT thing!!!

Many coaches say they will work with anyone. That's not me!

I am authentically me and the people who are looking for a coach to help them move forward in life, in business and as a leader, will find me. I will keep showing up as me. I'm not for everyone and everyone is not for me. Hooray!!

If you really take the time to listen to your soul, who are you? There's only one you! Be you, authentically!!

Can you define what makes you happy?

I'm genuinely curious. I've been reading about happiness lately and pondering the question myself.

I've asked others if they are happy and can they say what makes them happy. Some folks say "yes" they are happy although they aren't able to articulate why. Some folks say they think they are happy most of the time.

What is it that makes you happy? Do you feel happy most of the time? When do you feel the happiest?

I'll be curious to learn more.
