First morning out the door for community day with all my remaining littles after dropping my oldest at college. 💙

I could be upset that no one uses the shoe organizer…

But instead, I’m a little sad that the mess isn’t bigger.

Wake up a little earlier.
Go a little slower.
Soak up the moments.

We only get so much time with our kids before they grow up and walk out the door on their own.

Homeschooling has been such a gift in helping me redeem that time—to be present for the ordinary mornings, the messy middle, the community days, the books, the conversations, and all the little moments I know I’ll miss someday.

Today, I’m grateful for the mess.

And for every beautiful, imperfect day in the middle of it all. 💙

The book I am currently reading is An Old-Fashioned Girl. It reminds me that pleasure and happiness are fleeting and that greater joy is found in the old-fashioned ways that keep hearts sweet, heads sane, and hands busy. 😊 This Challenge 1 book is a perfect read for the middle and upper years.
