TLC Daycare Center

Today is Early Childhood Providers Day and I just want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible women who help make our little corner of the world so special. 💛

Working in early childhood education is part teacher, part referee, part storyteller, part snack distributor, part professional tiny-shoe finder… and somehow my staff does it all with love, patience, and hearts bigger than the toy bin after cleanup time. 🧸✨

To Miss Kortne, Miss Dakota, Miss Taylor, Miss Chantal, Miss Jillian and Miss Makayla…thank you for the hugs you give, the tears you wipe, the songs you sing for the 900th time, the lessons you teach, and the safe, happy space you create every single day for our little ones. What may seem like “just daycare” to some is actually the foundation of childhood memories, confidence, learning, and love.

You are appreciated more than words can say, and our kids are so lucky to be loved by all of you every day. 💕

Now please enjoy your coffee or Alani energy drink before someone asks you to open a yogurt tube, fix a sock, and locate a dinosaur… all at the exact same time. 💖

Good morning! TLC will be operating on a two hour delay this morning! We will open at 8:30 am and all children attending must be in the building by 9:30 am! Please be safe and take it slow, there is some snow accumulation and freezing rain in the area.

NOTICE: With some of our kids starting back at school and moving other children into new classrooms, TLC currently has openings in all of our classrooms.

We also have some openings for after school care, but please be aware that the only Quarrels elementary school and Daniel Morgan middle will bus to our center. For parents who currently have a child enrolled if you refer someone and they stay for at least 60 days, you will receive a credit for one week of care.

TLC had a fun day learning all about the importance of drinking water! The kids made fake snow to show how hydration works, we read a great book called “Sip, Sip, Hooray” and they all got cups to help them remember to drink lots of water!

I never got to post my 20th Anniversary last Friday! It’s hard to believe I’ve been here twenty years! But it’s been amazing and watching so many kids grow up fills my heart with joy!!! Grateful for all the wonderful staff along the way, past and present and for the opportunities this job has awarded me! Thank you to everyone who has supported me through the years!

NOTICE: TLC will operate on a two hour delay for Monday, December 16, 2024, opening at 8:30 am! All the staff scheduled in the morning are coming from 35-45 mins away and I’ve been on the roads and they are very slick! With more rain coming and the freezing temperatures…I want to make sure everyone is safe! Thank you.

As one of my employees put it “Happy TLCiversary” to me! Nineteen years working at my center and it been worth all the tough times because it’s never been better! And a lot of that is because of my staff! I truly couldn’t do it without them! 🥰🥰 Thank you!!!!
