Screening / Interest in Pre-K Program
We are providing a free screening for all children of Winchendon that are over 3 years old.
Under Public Law 766, each school system has the responsibility to identify children three to four years of age with the likelihood of having a disability or delay.
Please complete the following screening/Interest form by April 30, 2025
Once we receive your completed form, we will schedule your screening appointment.

The screening will take place at Memorial School, 32 Elmwood Road (Door A3) on May 14th and 15th - by appointment only.

Pre-K Acceptance Letters have been mailed.
Please have the 2 forms that are attached to the letter completed and returned by July 15, 2024 in order to secure your childs spot. They can be post mailed, emailed, or dropped off at the Main Office of Memorial School Monday through Thursday between 8am and 3pm.
There will be an additional mailing with more information once these forms have been returned.

Winchendon Pre-K Program Screening/Pre-K Lottery Forms have been mailed. Children must be age 3 or 4 by August 31, 2024 to be eligible for Pre-K in the Fall of 2024.

Winchendon Public Schools Preschool Screening will take place on May 8 & 15, 2024 by appointment only. Screening is optional and looks at a child's development in the areas of speech and language, fine and gross motor skills, cognition and social emotional skills.

If you have any concerns about your child, suspect your child may have a disability, or if you do not receive an information packet by mail, please call Kathy at the Winchendon Pre-K Program office at 978-297-3436 or email [email protected].

It's that time of the year again! Every year the Winchendon CFCE partners with the Clark YMCA to offer a 4 week preschool gymnastics program! If you are able to attend all 4 sessions, and your child is 3 or over (or close to 3 and can sit in circle and follow along) you are welcome to register! This is a free program funded by a grant from the MA Dept. of Early Education and Care!
