To continue Community Helpers Week, we got to spend time with our very own neighbors right here at the American Legion! 🇺🇸 Members helped us raise a brand-new flag on our flagpole and talked with our kiddos about what the flag stands for. The kids loved learning how we show respect to our flag—especially the golden rule to never let it touch the ground! We are so grateful to share our building with such wonderful community helpers! A big, heartfelt thank you to Pulaski County EMS for spending time with our students today! 🚑❤️

Our classroom is focusing on community helpers this month, and today was an unforgettable highlight. The team took the time to show our students inside the ambulance, answer all of their curious questions, and even set off the lights and sirens for them! 🚨
Moments like these build trust and help our children understand the brave men and women who are looking out for them every day. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to inspire and bring so much joy to our little ones! 🩺💛

Lights, camera, action! 🎬🍿

This month, we are exploring community helpers and all the fun places that make our neighborhood special! Today, we learned all about the movie theater and how much joy it brings to our community.

To celebrate, our little learners made their very own movie theater popcorn craft! We used fluffy cotton balls for the popcorn and dabbed on yellow paint for the ultimate "extra butter" topping! 🎨💛 IsisTheatre Winamac

Fall Fest Fun Recap! 🍁🍂

We had such an amazing time at our Fall Fest yesterday! From ring tosses and sensory water tables to beanbag games and monster targets, our WELA kiddos and families brought so much energy and joy to the playground.

And of course, the highlight of the evening was watching Ms. Cybil take a pie to the face for a great cause! 🥧💥

Thank you to all of our incredible families who came out to play, laugh, and support our fundraiser. We are so grateful for our WELA community! ❤️✨

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful librarian, Ms. Jolie, for filling our room with storytime magic today! 📚✨

Our kids look forward to her visits every time, and seeing their faces light up as they listen is always the highlight of our day. As we dive into learning about our community this month, we are so grateful for special community helpers like Ms. Jolie who show us how essential, welcoming, and inspiring our local library really is. Thank you for sharing your love of reading with our friends! ❤️📖 Pulaski County Public Library
