Katherine Anne Porter School Katherine Anne Porter School is a free, public, charter high school serving students grades 8-12.

As an open enrollment Charter, we welcome students from Wimberley and many surrounding areas, including Hays, Blanco, Comal, Travis & Williamson Counties.

Great news! KAPS now has a morning CDL driver, but still need an afternoon CDL driver to get the students home to Kyle!

$28/ hour with guaranteed 8 hours every other week on our 4 day weeks and guaranteed 10 hours on our 5 day weeks!

We don’t want to be forced to cancel our afternoon route! Must have a CDL for our 18 passenger bus.

On September 3, 10:30 a.m.–6 p.m. at the Wimberley Village Library, the League of Women Voters of Hays County is hosting a free, hands-on event where you can register to vote, try real voting equipment, and get every question answered — no judgment, no pressure.

Newly turning 18? High school, charter, or homeschool student? This one's especially for you. Drop in any time.

⏰ Don't forget: October 5 is the deadline to register or update your voter info. Early voting is October 19–30, and Election Day is November 3.

Urgent!

Immediate need for a CDL bus driver at KAPS. $450/week with a guaranteed 16 hours a week minimum. If you are only available part time, there is a guaranteed $225/week. This pay is for licensed CDL drivers.

Morning route leaves campus at 6 am, so 5:30-5:45 am arrival to clock in and get keys. Return to campus before 8 am. Afternoon route, arrive at campus by 3:30-3:45 pm and return around 5:30 pm (based on traffic)

We will have to discontinue one of our bus routes if we cannot fill this position by September 7th! Please share this opportunity if you know someone who qualifies.

Our students deserve to have free transportation, our school depends on it.
