In performing arts class, our students build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and learn the value of collaboration through music, movement, and storytelling. Our campus is buzzing with excitement as our first graders welcome newly hatched quail chicks!

After diligently observing the eggs and patiently waiting for hatch day, our young scientists are thrilled to see their learning come to life. The excitement has spread across St. Stephen’s, even our middle schoolers have been sneaking in for a few gentle snuggles while helping keep the tiny chicks warm.

Hands-on learning, campus-wide connection, and the sweetest new arrivals, just another special day at SSES!

BULLDOGS WIN!

What a night for St. Stephen’s Episcopal School Volleyball! Our Bulldogs took the court for their very first game and came home with a WIN!

We are so proud of these 6th–8th grade athletes and all the hard work, teamwork, and confidence they brought to the court tonight.

And our Bulldog community SHOWED UP! 💙
From administrators and teachers to fellow students, friends, parents, and grandparents, the bleachers were filled with people cheering on our girls. They felt the love, and so did we!

A huge thank you to San Marcos Academy for being such gracious hosts and helping make our first SSES volleyball game such a special one.

What an incredible way to kick off this new chapter of athletics at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Wimberley, Texas. Go Bulldogs!

As our Bulldogs arrived at carpool this morning, the sky decided to put on a show of its own, a beautiful double rainbow stretching over campus.

There’s something pretty special about starting the day beneath two rainbows, surrounded by the people who make this little corner of the Hill Country feel like home.

Science is happening all around campus at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School!

Our first graders got hands-on with a “germs run from soap” experiment, seeing firsthand how soap helps keep germs away.

Meanwhile, our fifth graders were putting their science skills back to work as they practiced using triple beam balances to carefully measure mass in our science lab.

From exciting experiments in the early grades to building strong laboratory skills in upper elementary, our Bulldogs are learning to ask questions, make observations, test ideas, and think like scientists.

Tonight we kicked off the SSES curriculum nights. Our Middle School families stepped inside the yurts and got a glimpse of just how much learning at St. Stephen’s goes beyond the traditional classroom.

From exceptional and intentional core academics to enrichment opportunities like Entrepreneurship, Mythology, and so much more, our Middle School students are encouraged to discover new interests, think creatively, take risks, and find the things that make them excited to learn.

These yurts are filled with big ideas, meaningful conversations, hands-on experiences, and opportunities for students to explore who they are becoming.

Middle school should be more than something students simply get through. At St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Wimberley, Texas, we believe it can be a place where students truly thrive.

A new season. A new sport. And our Bulldogs are already off to a GREAT start!

This year, St. Stephen’s Episcopal School is excited to add volleyball to our middle school athletics program, giving our 5th–8th grade students another opportunity to learn, compete, grow, and represent SSES!

Our Bulldogs have hit the court with incredible energy, teamwork, and determination, and we can’t wait to watch them grow throughout their very first volleyball season.

At St. Stephen’s, athletics are about so much more than the scoreboard. They’re another opportunity for students to build confidence, develop leadership skills, support their teammates, and discover something new.

We’re proud of these Bulldogs for helping us kick off a brand-new chapter in SSES Athletics!

There’s just something special about middle school at St. Stephen’s.

Big enough for new adventures, growing independence, and discovering who you are, but still small enough to laugh with your friends, feel known by your teachers, and occasionally skip your way into Friday because school really can be this much fun.

These years go by way too fast, and we love getting to watch our Bulldogs learn, grow, find their people, and make memories along the way.

Middle school should feel like this.
