🌎 Happy Earth Day!
🪈 Enjoy this piece for flute and piano, Le Merle Noir, by Olivier Messiaen. It was the earliest of his works to use actual birdsong from a blackbird! He was an ornithologist and traveled far and wide to transcribe birds singing to use in his music.
