Does your pre-platform routine set you up for success? Or are you putting on a show for the cameras?

There’s a fine balance between intensity and precision. They’re equally important under a heavy bar.

If intensity comes at the cost of precision, rethink your process.

Big lifts are often lost to one small setup error.

I think of intensity as something you build and contain and then release at exactly the right moment.

Intensity without precision is reckless. Intensity with laser sharp precision is unstoppable.

Stand Strong would like to recognize the participants who completed the Holiday Hustle Challenge.

The challenge was designed to help navigate the health and fitness challenges of the busy holiday months.

Utilizing the Stand Strong Training App, participants tracked cardio and strength training sessions and logged nutrition, water intake and a healthy habit of their choice.

The results speak for themselves, these ladies are down not just in the number on the scale but also in clothing sizes. They have lost over 16 inches combined and gained, not only strength, but also confidence in the gym.

Stand Strong is built on the philosophy that anyone can train like an athlete. We believe an athlete is someone who trains with purpose and has the determination to get up each day and keep striving! If you learned how to walk, you know what it takes to be an athlete. You just might need to rediscover the part of yourself that will not accept failure, the part that will fall down and get up again & again & again. Find the innate part of yourself that refuses to crawl & soon you will be running.

Stand Strong would like to congratulate our very own Joey Hayden!

Joey was named a finalist for the offensive lineman Frank J Gaziano Award. This means a committee of football coaches and other professionals, consider Joey to be one of the top 3 offensive linemen in the state!

We think he is pretty great too! Joey’s best competitive squat, 567lbs, lands him 6th all-time in Stand Strong history regardless of age, 3rd all-time in the state of Maine for the Teen 2 division, and he holds multiple Maine state records. Joey is also a USAPL Regional and High School National champion powerlifter!

Joey has been a member of Stand Strong since the fall of 2021, and has been working with Coach Sean Moore during his tenure.

Coach Moore says, “Joey is one of a kind. He deserves his flowers for his dedication, work ethic and character. He’s a fine young man who pushed himself, his training partners, and helped other newcomers when they needed it. He made my job easy, and it has been a privilege to work with him.”
