Building Blocks Early Learning Center

Building Blocks Early Learning Center Preschool and childcare for ages 4 weeks to 5 years old. Before and after school programs too! We are a Reggio inspired, social constructivist program.

Building Blocks Early Learning Center is a full day child care and preschool. We offer the highest of care for young children with an educational emphasis throughout the day. Preschool is incorporated into our full day spots as well as our 3 1/2 hour preschool classes. We put a huge emphasis on bringing the outdoors in as well as learning through social interaction with each other and the environm

ent. We believe that the parent is the child's first teacher, our teachers are the 2nd and the environment is the third teacher. We welcome families into our cooperative learning environment and realize that all families come from different backgrounds. We value each families individuality as we celebrate our family and children's likenesses and differences in our school.

We are getting in the Halloween spirit with our spooky spiderweb process art. The children rolled paint covered marbles over the paper in their tray to make the web lines. 🕸️

Then we spent a day looking at and building the parts of the spider, including their 8 legs, and their even sets of eyes. They brought their two projects together by putting their spiders onto their webs! 🕷️

The children had a blast creating salt dough sea creatures! They worked together to measure ingredients and mix the dough.
Then it was time to play with it!

They eventually rolled out their dough and cut out their ocean animals. After baking them, the children enjoyed painting their now rock-hard “art cookies!” What a fun process to create a special keepsake. 🐬
