Last Thursday and Friday, two of our WAAT students were among just five students selected from across the district to participate in a student panel organized by district leaders for WCS middle and high school teachers.

During the panel, they shared their perspectives on the teachers who have inspired them, supported them, and made a lasting difference in their educational journeys. What a meaningful opportunity for our students to use their voices and represent WAAT in front of educators from across the district!

We are incredibly proud of the confidence, thoughtfulness, and leadership they demonstrated. They represented themselves—and WAAT—so well! 💚🤖✨

✏️🚌✨Important Info for Back to School✨🚌✏️ Be sure to come out to the school this upcoming Monday to receive schedules, pay device fees, and say hello! Upperclassmen are welcome to pick up schedules, pay tech fees, and pick up devices at any time between 9:30am and 5:00pm. Freshmen orientation will be held later that night, beginning at 6:00pm. Freshmen students and families are encouraged to come pick up schedules, pay tech fees and tour the building. Any families interested in completing a fee waiver application may do so online by visiting www.wilsonschoolsnc.net. The link can be found by clicking on “Departments/Programs” and then clicking on “Child Nutrition.” Applications approved through this process provide for the waiving of our WCS Technology Fee.
