What an AMAZING afternoon at New Hope!

Our Knights had the BEST time watching the Fike Honors Marching Band perform today! From the incredible music to the awesome school spirit, it was such a fun experience for our students!

A HUGE thank you to the talented musicians, directors, and everyone who helped make this special performance possible! We absolutely LOVE opportunities like this that bring our community together and create lasting memories for our Knights!

We are SO incredibly thankful for our amazing community partners who help bring learning to life for our Knights! 💙💛

Today, our Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grade students participated in “Moving Milk from the Farm to the Fridge,” an engaging lesson presented by our local 4-H!

Through a series of three hands-on lessons, our students are learning all about the dairy industry, how milk makes its way from the farm to our refrigerators, and how dairy foods can contribute to a healthy diet! Today our kiddos made butter!

We LOVE seeing our students make real-world connections while having fun and learning something new!

A HUGE thank-you to our local 4-H for investing in our students and helping us create meaningful learning experiences! 💙💛

These amazing Knights were recognized for demonstrating our character trait of the month, RESPONSIBILITY! Whether it’s making good choices, being accountable for their actions, or doing the right thing even when no one is watching, these students are leading by example!

Today, our 4th grade Knights enjoyed their first field trip of the school year with a visit to Batts Tree Farm!

Our students had an AMAZING opportunity to explore the wonderful world of agriculture and natural resources right here in North Carolina! They learned about honey bees and their importance, crops grown in North Carolina and how they show up in our everyday foods, pine trees, soil and water conservation, and the fascinating wildlife that calls our wetlands home!

There is nothing quite like bringing learning to life through hands-on experiences outside the classroom! We love seeing our Knights explore, ask questions, and discover just how much there is to learn about the world around them!

Learning, exploring, and making memories… that’s the New Hope way!

Please join us in giving a HUGE congratulations to our very own Ms. Fretwell, who was recognized today as a runner up for Wilson County Schools Beginning Teacher of the Year! 🏆👏

We are SO incredibly proud of her and the passion, dedication, and love she pours into her students each and every day! She is truly making a difference, and we are beyond blessed to have her as part of our New Hope family! 💙

Today was a FANTASTIC day at New Hope! 💙💛

We kicked things off with one of our favorite days of the week, School Spirit Wednesday! 💙💛 Our 4th and 5th graders also enjoyed their Wednesday self-selected clubs, giving them another opportunity to explore their interests, try something new, and have some fun!

And then…we were SPOILED! 🤩 Our AMAZING Central Office and Board of Education treated our staff to an appreciation cookout! Of course, you know us at New Hope—we tend to be a little extra 😂—so our staff added some sides, appetizers, and desserts to the mix, and let’s just say…we ate VERY well! 🌭🍔🍰

The food was phenomenal, but the appreciation behind it meant even more. We are so incredibly thankful for the people who support our school, our staff, and the work we do each and every day.

Our hearts (and our bellies! 😂) are FULL! We are truly blessed to do what we do alongside such amazing people. 💙💛

A special thank you to local attorney Jennifer Bennington for spending time with one of our 2nd grade classrooms and bringing the three branches of government to life!

Our students had the opportunity to participate in a mock trial and learn through hands-on activities and special items representing each of the three branches. What an awesome way to make learning meaningful, memorable, and FUN! 💙💛

And I have to say…the mini gavels may have been my favorite!

We are so thankful for community members like Ms. Bennington who take the time to invest in our Knights and provide them with experiences beyond the classroom. It truly takes a village!

Today, we are celebrating the THREE BEST custodians around—Ms. Bynum, Mr. Hodges, and Ms. Vaughn! 🎉

We are so incredibly thankful for everything they do each and every day to keep New Hope clean, safe, welcoming, and running smoothly. So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their hard work and dedication NEVER go unnoticed! 💙
