CALL TO ACTION!!!
Our Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) are under attack:
- Last Friday, Deputy Darren Goforth, 47, was pumping gas about 8:30 p.m. when a man approached him from behind and fired multiple shots -- an ‘Unprovoked, Execution-Style Killing’.
- Yesterday, West Penn Township police sergeant Melissa Ruch stopped to help a disabled or parked vehicle near a guard rail. When she stepped out a man came around the car, assaulted her and threw her over the embankment.
- On Monday, an off-duty Abilene, Texas, police officer, Don Allen, was found dead in his home. This case is currently being investigated by the FBI and Texas Rangers as a premeditated homicide by multiple parties.
These stories, along with many other similar stories in recent weeks, show an increased targeting of LEOs by some all over America. More and more LEOs are saying they're afraid for their lives and that they have never been more paranoid than they are right now for their own safety and the safety of their families.
It's time for all who still believe in right and wrong, who believe that love will always triumph over hate, to stand!
Several concerned citizens of Wilson are gathering at the Wilson Police Department and the Wilson County Sheriff's Department next Friday (September 11) at 6pm to pray. We need to let them all know we love them, that we stand with them, that they are not alone, and that there are still good people in this world.
We're also thinking of having dinner (Chick-fil-A, Little Ceasars, Subway, or something like this) catered for them.
