Announcements for the upcoming week...August 24.
Monday, August 24th is the first day of school for our students!! We are so excited to kick of another amazing year at the Ridge!
Doors to the school will open at 7:30 and the tardy bell will ring at 8:00. You are welcome to walk your child to class the first week of school; however, Monday, August 31 will be Independence Day where all students walk to class themselves. If you choose to walk your child to class, please park in the gravel lot. Our buses will unload and park in the front of the building this week and we do not want to block you in.
Buses will run tomorrow; however, bus numbers may be slightly different from those provided at open house. Please look for the driver, not the bus number. We ask that you provide 10 minutes on either side of the provided times for pick up and drop off. It will take approximately two weeks to create the final routes for the school year. Please be reminded that an adult should be at the bus stop when students are picked up, as well as dropped off from school. If an adult is not at the bus stop for drop off, your child will return to Rock Ridge for pick up.
We encourage you to join Class Dojo, if you have not already. This is our school wide communication platform and is important for you to have access to. Reach out to your child's teacher if you are having difficulty joining the class.

Buenas tardes, les habla Emily Chilton, directora de Rock Ridge, con algunos anuncios para la próxima semana.
¡¡El lunes 24 de agosto es el primer día de clases para nuestros estudiantes!! ¡Estamos muy emocionados de comenzar otro año fantástico en "the Ridge"!
Las puertas de la escuela se abrirán a las 7:30 y el timbre de inicio de clases sonará a las 8:00. Pueden acompañar a sus hijos hasta el salón de clases durante la primera semana; sin embargo, el lunes 31 de agosto celebraremos el "Día de la Independencia", en el que todos los estudiantes caminarán solos a sus clases. Si deciden acompañar a sus hijos al salón, por favor estaciónense en el área de grava. Esta semana, los autobuses dejarán a los alumnos y se estacionarán frente al edificio, por lo que queremos evitar bloquearles la salida.
Mañana habrá servicio de autobuses; no obstante, los números de las unidades podrían variar ligeramente respecto a los informados durante la jornada de puertas abiertas (*open house*). Por favor, busquen al conductor y no se guíen únicamente por el número del autobús. Les pedimos considerar un margen de 10 minutos antes o después de los horarios indicados para la recogida y llegada de los estudiantes. La elaboración de las rutas definitivas para el año escolar tomará aproximadamente dos semanas. Les recordamos que debe haber un adulto presente en la parada tanto al recoger a los estudiantes por la mañana como al dejarlos al regresar de la escuela. Si no hay un adulto en la parada al momento de dejarlos, su hijo será llevado de regreso a Rock Ridge para que ustedes pasen a recogerlo.
Les animamos a unirse a Class Dojo si aún no lo han hecho. Esta es nuestra plataforma de comunicación escolar y es importante que tengan acceso a ella. Comuníquense con el maestro o maestra de su hijo si tienen dificultades para unirse a la clase.
