Rates:
Private violin lessons - $20/ half-hour lesson
Private (beginner) piano lessons - $15/ half-hour lesson
Pre-school music class - $10 per family per class. Weddings and special events - contact me


Art lessons - $15/ half-hour private lesson or $20/ family/group class. Commissioned pieces - it depends on the size and the intricacy of the work, but it would probably be about $30 for a small

piece (4"x6", for example) $40 for a mid-sized piece (8"x11"), and larger pieces will have larger prices.

Lately I have been giving online voice lessons with pretty good success to students who struggle with pitch awareness and/or pitch control.

Thanks to my dad, who taught a friend of ours to match pitch when he was leading the youth choir for church (the student was in high school at the time and became a music minister) I know it's possible to teach people who "can't sing" to sing.

From the student it just takes practice, patience, and a desire to learn.

From the teacher it requires understanding how to overcome mental hurdles, how to help students visualize pitch, and how to use the things a person is already successful at vocally to create the scaffolding on which to build the framework for singing.

After just one lesson, my voice students can match at least 1-3 pitches reliably, and can sing a sustained note with decent tone and control. After 2-3 lessons, my students can sing at least one song with an octave range, matching pitches with 90+% accuracy.

You aren't too old to learn to sing, and you aren't too young. If you want to be able to sing, I want to be your teacher. I'll even give you the first lesson for free so you can see for yourself it's possible.

I am confident I can help anyone who wants to learn and has 30 minutes here and there to video chat with me.

It feels really weird to toot my own horn like this, but I'm sharing here because from what I have seen, there are people everywhere who want to sing and feel like they can't, and I can't help them unless I let people know it's something I can do.
