Earlier this morning, we had the honor of receiving our NC To***co Trust Fund Grant check during a special FFA meeting in the auditorium. We were awarded $15,000 to help go towards fixing our barn at the school to help make it easier to house a complete swine operation, which will allow the students to see the entire process of raising pigs. We will be able to have a farrowing area for our sows, a nursery area for the piglets after weaning, then have pens for growing show pigs and feeder pigs to help our program. Students will have the chance to see this entire process and it wouldn’t be possible without this amazing grant. We were lucky to have over 150 people present this morning including Central Office Staff, School Board members, Beddingfield Administration, and Representative Pittman. Thank you to everyone who has helped support our program over the years and we hope to continue growing as we move forward! Beddingfield High School
