As another school year comes to a close, we wish our amazing 5th graders all the best as they begin their next adventure in middle school. We are so proud of all you have accomplished and the growth you’ve shown during your time at Hanby. You will be missed more than you know!

With so many emotions in our hearts, we wanted to share an important update from our administrative team.

Over the past two years, Mrs. Jackson has served as our Assistant Principal and, in what feels like such a short time, has become a strong and valued presence at the heart of our Hanby family and community. She is inspiring, dedicated, knowledgeable, and full of spirit. Most importantly, she cares deeply for our students, staff, and families, and her impact on our school has been felt in countless ways.

While it is difficult to imagine Hanby without her, we are incredibly proud to share that Mrs. Jackson has been selected as the new Principal of Maple Lane Elementary School. This is a wonderful and well-deserved opportunity, and we could not be happier for her as she takes this exciting next step in her leadership journey.

Although we will miss her beyond words, we know she will continue to make a tremendous difference in the lives of students, families, and staff in her new role. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Jackson and wishing her continued success as she begins this exciting new chapter.

As we wrap up another amazing school year, we’re celebrating all of the memories made along the way! From classroom beach and camping adventures to creating memory rocks for our walking trail, PTA Fun Day, sing along hallway vibes, 2nd grade learning from 3rd grade some top tips for next year, and so much more, our students have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and joy.

They have worked hard, learned so much, and grown in countless ways this year. We couldn’t be more proud of all they have accomplished. Wishing our Hanby bees a wonderful summer filled with fun and new adventures! 💛🐝

Hanby Elementary had an amazing First Responders Day! 🚔🚑🐕🐎

Our students met K-9 units, mounted police, SWAT team members, paramedics, and other first responders. They learned important safety information, asked great questions, and got a closer look at the important work these professionals do every day.

Thank you to all of our first responders for making this an incredible experience for our students!

🎤🌟 Hanby Elementary School's Annual Talent Show was a huge success!

Our talented 3rd–5th grade students took the stage and truly shined as they shared their amazing gifts with family, friends, and staff. From singing and dancing to comedy, music, and more, each performance showcased the confidence, creativity, and hard work of our students.

We are so proud of everyone who participated and helped make this event such a memorable celebration of talent and school spirit. Great job, Bees! 🐝💛🖤

What’s better than fresh carrots and sugar snap peas? Fresh carrots and sugar snap peas grown right here at Hanby Elementary!

Our amazing 5th graders helped harvest the garden, and everyone had the chance to enjoy the delicious results. It was a wonderful way to celebrate hard work, healthy eating, and learning outside the classroom.

With plenty of groovy vibes and enthusiastic snaps from the audience, our Hanby Bees confidently shared their original poems and showcased their creativity and hard work at the 3rd Grade Coffee House. It was wonderful to see our students shine as they read their writing and celebrated the power of their voices.

The Senior Walk was a huge success! It was so special to welcome our seniors back to walk the halls of their elementary school. Seeing them was such an inspiration for our students and a reminder that big dreams really do begin here.

Hanby will always be their hive, and we wish them all the best on the journey ahead. Hanby BEE-lieves in them and knows they will make their dreams happen! 🐝💛

Students in Ms. Sheeron and Ms. Heitman’s classes got together for some math games and teamwork fun! We love seeing our students learning and making connections together. It’s always extra special when they get to enjoy activities with their Best Buzzies! 🐝💛

During Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrate the incredible educators who make a difference every single day through their kindness, dedication, creativity, and unwavering BEE-lief in our students. Thank you for inspiring young minds, encouraging big dreams, and helping every child grow and thrive.
