We had such a wonderful time closing out Weekend in Wilmington with Walk With Your Flock. It was the perfect way to wind down on Sunday — exploring campus, catching up with fellow Seahawks, enjoying coffee from alumni-owned Hidden Grounds and meeting plenty of adorable four-legged Seahawk friends along the way. ☕🐾

Two former UNCW Men's Soccer are heading to the 2026 FIFA World Cup!

Former Seahawk defender Hjalmar Ekdal (2017) and former midfielder Austin MacPhee '02 will represent Sweden and Portugal, respectively, on soccer's biggest stage this summer.

Ekdal, the 2017 CAA Rookie of the Year, will compete for Sweden after making his national team debut in 2022 and currently playing professionally with Burnley FC.

MacPhee begins his first FIFA World Cup as a member of Portugal's coaching staff. His coaching career has included roles with Northern Ireland, Scotland, Portugal and Aston Villa FC.

Congratulations to both Seahawks! We'll be cheering you on throughout the tournament.
