The School With a Heart in the Heart of the City has been welcoming generations of families into a warm and nurturing environment for over 184 years. Peter Cathedral School has grown from an orphanage and boarding school to a Diocesan Elementary School that proudly proclaims a long and rich history. Peter Cathedral School is an elementary school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, Delawar

e servicing students from Pre-Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. The Daughters of Charity who administer the school along with a dedicated and committed faculty have the unique privilege of molding and transforming lives on a daily basis. The school community is comprised of children from a variety of religious, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Our ultimate goal is to enrich our students with a firm sense of self-esteem as well as a strong academic foundation so that each one is prepared to meet challenges of life and learning that await them beyond the door of St. Peter Cathedral School.
