New Hanover boys soccer coach TJ Rennie is stepping down after 11 seasons. Rennie went 202-49-19 (35-10 in the playoffs) and guided the Wildcats to the 2021 4A state championship. Rennie will continue to teach at New Hanover and will serve as the assistant AD

Congratulations to all the soccer players that were awarded MEC first and second team and honorable mention.

Let’s remember how all the local schools came out and supported us last year. The large Fan base helped us through the playoffs. Hoggard plays Cardinal Gibbons tonight which was one of our toughest games last year. Laney also plays tonight at Laney at 5:00. Let’s show our Wildcat Pride and support our friends tonight.

It is always sad when a Senior's High School Soccer career comes to an end. Last night was no exception. These boys left it all on the field and went further than most thought was possible this year. It has been a pleasure watching them battle through every game. We would like to take a moment and reflect on the experience these boys have had as NHHS Soccer teammates. (Please read to the end)

Senior Year,
Beat Laney
Took Hoggard to double overtime and lost in the last 3 minutes of play
Proved that hard work and a great coach will take you a long way
3rd Round of playoffs

Even though these Seniors "lost" last night, they have won so much and have experienced more than anybody they have played during their HS career this season. Coach TJ has prepared these boys for life, and they will do great once the heartache of loss dissipates. It has been a privilege watching you young men play.

Remember, Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat and Diamonds are FOREVER!!!!

Tonight is the night. NHHS Soccer vs. Laney Soccer (at Laney) in the 3rd round of playoffs. Come support your Seniors and the rest of the team. If we win this game we will be back at Legion for the quarter finals. Come out and wear your Wild Cat apparel. Let's show Laney what NHHS school pride and spirit is. Let's go Wild Cats!!!
