๐จ Kindergarten Sighting: Special Visitors Ahead! ๐ด๐ฎโโ๏ธ
Our kindergarten students had an exciting surprise this morning when they met members of the New Castle County Police Departmentโs Mounted Patrol Unit!
Students were eager to learn about the important work these officers do and were especially excited to see the police horses up close. They asked great questions, learned more about law enforcement, and enjoyed a firsthand look at how mounted officers help serve our community.
Experiences like these help bring learning to life and create lasting memories for our young Wildcats. Thank you to the New Castle County Police Department for stopping by and making our studentsโ day extra special! ๐ด๐

Learning today. Leading tomorrow. ๐๐
Our 5th grade students participated in an eye-opening presentation about the dangers of va**ng and to***co use. Through engaging discussions and real-world information, students gained valuable knowledge to help them make healthy choices now and in the future.
A huge THANK YOU to the Latin American Community Center for partnering with us and empowering our students with the tools they need to stay informed, confident, and to***co-free!

Our reading text came to life in 2nd grade with Dr. McMillan! Our young explorers journeyed westward as they stepped into the shoes of pioneers traveling in search of new land and the promise of gold. Students worked together to design and create their own wagons, bringing their learning beyond the pages of a book and into the real world.
The excitement was contagious as they connected history, literacy, creativity, and teamwork through hands-on exploration. Watching our students engage so deeply with their learning reminds us that the best lessons are the ones that spark curiosity and imagination. ๐๐๐บ๏ธ

Big ideas start with student voice! ๐จโจ
Our Art Club leaders, YaโMylah, Zerahyah, and Aniyah, came to their Assistant Principal with a vision to create an Art Club for their fellow Wildcats. They were encouraged to lead by finding an advisor, creating forms, sharing them with students, and planning engaging sessions for others to enjoy.
A special thank you to our amazing art teacher, Ms. Segre for welcoming and supporting our student leaders each Monday. We are proud to see our students using their creativity, leadership, and teamwork to make an impact at Johnson! ๐พ๐
