The Yard House The Yard House is Wilmington's premier indoor training facility. At The Yard House, we specialize in softball, baseball and sport specific training.

Our facility offers batting cages, field area for team practice and a Strength & Conditioning area.

🚨🚨New Instructor Announcement 🚨🚨

The Yard House welcomes Taber Mongero to the family. We can’t wait to see how you can help our local athletes.

Bio:

Taber Mongero is a former Division I shortstop and former Director of Player Development and infield coach at UNCW. A standout at North Hall High School in Georgia, he earned 2017 Georgia Player of the Year honors while leading the Trojans to their first state championship. His collegiate career included stops at Gardner-Webb, the College of Central Florida—one of America’s premier junior-college baseball programs—and UNCW.

During three seasons as UNCW’s starting shortstop, Mongero earned First-Team All-CAA and ABCA All-Region honors and set the program’s single-season fielding-percentage record for a shortstop. As a senior in 2023, he was ranked the No. 36 college shortstop in America by D1Baseball and helped the Seahawks win both the CAA regular-season and tournament championships before advancing to an NCAA Regional. He later joined UNCW’s staff, where he oversaw player development and worked closely with the Seahawks’ infielders.

It was a pleasure to host the summer Diamond Athletics Baseball program at The Yard House. These players put in work and we can’t wait to see how they level up this fall.

The program concluded today with an intense game of wiffle ball on our newly expanded field - it’s safe to say, fun was had! ⚾️

BIG NEWS AT THE YARD HOUSE! ⚾️🔥

We’re proud to announce our partnership with Canes Atlantic Baseball and the launch of 11U Canes Atlantic Alpha, operating out of The Yard House.

The national-level talent of the Carolina Diablos 😈 is now competing as 11U Canes Atlantic Alpha, bringing this group of athletes to the next level of competition and development.

This partnership combines the talent and experience of the Diablos with the resources, competition, and national platform of Canes Atlantic Baseball, while providing a strong training and development environment at The Yard House.

Our goal is to help these athletes develop, compete, and continue to take their game to the next level against some of the best teams across the East Coast.

We’re proud of this partnership and excited about what it means for our athletes, our coaches, and our community.
