In 2016 Annette Fletcher ran for Ms. B*W Delaware and won the crown and has held the title for two years. Having won the local pageant, she was sent onto the International Pageant in Philadelphis where she competed with nine other women for the title.
She competed wearing an introduction outfit from Lia Wear by Lafifa Ali, a lingerie piece made by MXU Wear by Dawn Mathu and a formal dress from David’s Bridal. Her performance at the International pageant was a Color Guard Flag routine to Waka Waka by Shakira a song performed at the first African held Official 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. "Waka Waka" is a pop song whose lyrics encourage one to aim for their goals like a soldier on a battlefield. She twirled the Namibia flag.
Understanding the importance of supporting and encouraging plus size women she saw it not robbery to host the 2018 Big Beautiful Women of Delaware Pageant. Excited about passing her crown, she worked diligently to ensure that the B*WDEP was a success.
She thanks all of the sponsors, supporters, ticket holders, judges and volunteers for their assistance in making this event a successful one.
