Thank you, Dr. Martire!

Dear Tatnall Community,

It is with truly mixed emotions that I inform you that I will be leaving Tatnall at the conclusion of the 2025โ€“26 academic year to serve as Head of School at Landon School, an all-boys school of approximately 700 students located in Bethesda, Maryland.

I will miss Tatnall dearly. Since joining the community in 2020, I have had the privilege of interacting with amazingly talented students, dedicated and skillful faculty and staff, and passionate trustees and alumni who โ€œbleed black and gold.โ€ The Tatnall community is an incredible one; I will cherish memories of spirited Friday Night Lights football games, joyous Founderโ€™s Days, and festive May Days, to name a few of the many special events that make Tatnall the wonderful place it is. It has been an honor to work alongside all of you to move the school forward, and I know Tatnall is destined for great success in the years ahead.

I am fully committed to Tatnall in the coming school year. We have much to accomplish! I am eager to dig into the vital tasks at hand and to help ensure an outstanding year for our students, families, and employees. Moreover, I will work hand in hand with the Board of Trustees to facilitate a smooth leadership transition during the summer of 2026.

In closing, I will share that as our son Max enters his senior year at Tatnall, Eva and I have seen firsthand the tremendous impact of a Tatnall education. We will be forever grateful for all that Tatnall has given our family personally and professionally. I am exceptionally grateful for your continued strong support and look forward to seeing you on campus soon as we kick off 2025โ€“26!

Warmest regards,
Andrew D. Martire, Ed.D.

We are so proud of you, Max! Go Hornets!

Congratulations to Max M. '26, who was awarded the Tom Fort Award, which honors Delaware's Most Outstanding Male High School Track and Field Athlete, at last night's All-State Banquet.

This season, Max broke the Delaware state record for discus, which had been in place for 43 years. No thrower has come within 15 feet of the record since 2009.

Max continued to work with coaches Ian Armstrong and Pat Castagno in the post-season, and yesterday, he placed second in discus at New Balance Nationals in Philadelphia!

Keep going, Max! ๐Ÿ

Fantastic accomplishment! Go Hornets!

๐Ÿ‘‰ NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!

Tatnall's Boys 4 x Mile team of Ben, Dylan, Luke, and Gavin WON their event at Nike Outdoor Nationals in Oregon last weekend. Their time of 17:20:86 is a new all-time Delaware best and earned them the status of All-American!

We are incredibly proud of the work these students put in to earn this extraordinary finish. Congratulations to all of our runners and coaches on another fantastic season.
