Two golfers. Same score. Totally different rounds. ⛳

One grinds out steady 5s and 6s all day. The other mixes birdies with big numbers. Both walk off with a 90.

So which player would you rather be? And more importantly, which one gives you the better path to breaking 90?

👇 Drop “STEADY” or “HOT & COLD” in the comments and tell me why.

Two golfers can have the exact same amount of time to practice…

…and get completely different results.

Why?

One has a plan.

The other just hits balls.

There’s nothing wrong with going to the range and hitting some balls for fun.

But if you're trying to actually change your game, your practice needs a purpose.

Know:

➡️ What you're working on
➡️ Why you're working on it
➡️ How you're going to measure it
➡️ What you need to take to the course

Don't leave your improvement to chance.

Practice with a purpose.

DM Me the word "PRACTICE" and I'll send you a FREE practice guide.

Have you ever noticed how some great players seem to have a little pause at the top of their backswing?

There’s a reason.

Players like Hideki Matsuyama and Cameron Young have very different swings, but both demonstrate something important:

Tempo doesn't have to mean rushing.

That little moment at the top can help create better sequencing and give you time to transition instead of immediately throwing the club from the top.

Now, I'm NOT saying you need to copy Hideki's pause.

The takeaway is much simpler:

Good players aren't in a hurry.

Try feeling a smoother transition in your next practice session and see what happens.

One of the biggest mistakes golfers make when watching Tour players:

Trying to copy their swing.

Scottie Scheffler has a unique motion.

So does Rory.
So does Rahm.
So does every other elite player.

Instead of asking:

“Why don't I swing like them?”

Ask:

“What can I learn from them?”

Look at the fundamentals behind the motion—clubface control, contact, speed, sequencing, and consistency.

Study great players.

But don't forget to build your swing.

You don’t have to live down the street from your golf coach to get better.

Remote coaching can give you something that a traditional lesson sometimes can't:

A plan between lessons.

You send me your swing.
We identify what matters.
You get drills and practice direction.
Then we track your progress.

The goal isn't to give you 15 swing thoughts.

It’s to help you understand what you need to work on and why.

If you’re serious about improving but can't make it to the course every week, remote coaching might be worth looking into.

Would you try remote golf coaching?

“Get better at golf.”

That’s a great goal… but it’s not specific enough.

What does getting better actually mean for you?

Break 100?
Break 90?
Break 80?
Hit more fairways?
Play in your first tournament?
Stop throwing away 5–6 shots every round?

The clearer your goal is, the easier it becomes to build a plan around it.

Don’t just practice because you feel like you should.

Know what you're working toward.

What’s your golf goal right now? 👇

Should golf coaches still play?

I think the answer is absolutely yes.

There’s a big difference between knowing how to teach the golf swing and actually understanding what it feels like to play the game.

Playing keeps me connected to the things my students deal with every round:

• Pressure
• Bad lies
• Course management
• Making decisions
• Having a swing that holds up when the score matters

I’m a golf coach, but I’m also a golfer.

And I think that makes me a better coach.

Do you want your coach to still play competitively?
