Our tentative (may CHANGE) homework outline for this week. Don't get used to this y'all, I won't be doing it each week and you NEED to be able to use the Assignments & Scheduling docment on Canvas for complete descriptions of each assignment.

Make sure you do your work this weekend! Remember, no late work and participation in class discussion is a part of your attendance.
DAY ONE = DONE! Great first day y'all! Thanks for participating in our discussions. I'm looking forward to learning more about each and every one of you and I hope you will do the same for your classmates. Looking forward to reading the Insta posts!
Why are we doing this? In our current of age of technology, we receive news and interact with texts in different ways than we ever have in the past. We will use this FB page to discuss how we evaluate the popular sources we see in everyday life. ( anyone?)
Through critical engagement with the texts that most of us are already seeing on a daily basis, we will be in line with SLO [CPM3] regarding:
-summariz[ing] an array of viewpoints [you] have read on a given topic.
-[You] will synthesize these viewpoints as a means of 'mapping' a field of perspectives.
-[You] will analyze these viewpoints in order to assess how and where [your] own views and experiences relate to those [you've] encountered in [your] reading
We will also be tackling how writing translates to social media through switching genres and the rhetorical decisions that have to be used in translating across genres.
Through technological communication, you will be demonstrating your familiarity with the stages of the composing process through dismantling the sources you find and share with our class.
(UNCW ENG 101 SLOs).
