⚾ Throwback Thursday: Celebrating 50 Years of a Championship Legacy! 🏆

On April 18th, we had the privilege of celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Salesianum’s 1976 Baseball Team.

Led by coach and Oblate Fr. Kenney, the 1976 team helped establish a tradition of excellence that generations of Salesianum student-athletes have proudly carried forward.

It was wonderful to welcome members of this historic team back to Salesianum, celebrate their championship season, and honor the friendships and memories that have lasted for half a century.

Congratulations to Salesian alumnus Matt Tinnelly ’02, who recently helped secure a $4.36 million judgment for the City of Little Rock following a three-day federal admiralty bench trial.

Matt, an attorney with Cohen & Frey P.C., was part of the two-lawyer trial team handling the case, which involved a barge collision and complex questions of maritime law, engineering, causation, and damages.

Congratulations, Matt, on an impressive accomplishment and thanks for continuing to make the Salesianum community proud!

Most uniforms are from 2005 and later, but a few basketball uniforms date from the mid-90s. Stop by campus for special deals in the school store, too. Shop early for the best selection!

🔦✨ ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT ✨🔦

From Salesianum classmates to designing and building together in college, Aidan Burke ’22 and Chris Forwood ’22, students in the University of Miami School of Architecture, recently took part in a Design Build course that brought their work far beyond the classroom. Working with a real client, budget, and project site, their team spent the spring semester designing and constructing an overlook for Jonathan Dickinson State Park near Jupiter, Florida.

It’s always great to see where life takes our graduates, especially when the journey brings the Brotherhood back together along the way.

Keep building, Aidan and Chris. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

This September, Salesianum alumni Antonio Puzzangara '17, Mike Kempski '17, and Anthony Marion '17 will take on the incredible challenge of running the Grindstone 100, a 100-mile ultramarathon, in support of their friend and fellow alumnus, Shane Burke '19, pictured below, who is courageously battling a rare form of brain cancer.

The team has partnered with the National Brain Tumor Society to raise funds for brain cancer research, turning an extraordinary athletic challenge into an opportunity to make a difference for Shane and countless others facing this disease.

Congratulations to Salesianum alumnus Joe Maguire '71 on the publication of his first children's book, Someday ABC's.

After a remarkable 42-year career in education, Joe has continued his passion for inspiring young people through writing. Someday ABC's introduces children to the alphabet while encouraging them to dream about the many paths their futures can take. With colorful illustrations, engaging language, and the uplifting message, "Someday, you may be…", the book reminds every child that their possibilities are endless.

Congratulations, Joe, on this wonderful accomplishment!
