HALL OF FAME EVENT

It was an exciting few days for River Valley Martial Arts staff, students, and their families, at the 31st Annual Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame Event, held at the San Marcos Convention Center, south of Austin, Texas, this past weekend.

On Friday morning, Instructor Stacey, assisted by River Valley students, presented a well attended Koryo Gumdo Workshop/Seminar for Hall of Fame attendees at the event.

On Friday night, Stacey performed a Koryo Gumdo Form during an intermission of UMAHOF’s No Gi Grappling “Tournament of Champions” event, broadcast live on PPV.

On Saturday morning thru afternoon, Instructor Stacey, and students Chris, Sutton, and Connie, all brought home some nice “bling” competing in the Annual Hall of Fame Tournament. Stacey, Connie and Sutton won 1st place World Champion in their divisions, and Chris won 3rd place.

At the Formal Dinner on Saturday evening, during the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Stacey and Jayden performed an impressive full contact Gumdo Sparring demonstration.

During the ceremony, the Hall of Fame recognized Jayden and Sutton, awarding each with the “Junior Instructor of the Year Award.”

Also recognized during the ceremony was Stacey, a 2024 Inductee, receiving the “Outstanding Martial Arts Leader Award.” And Robert, a 2021 Inductee, receiving the “Distinguished Honor Award for Martial Arts.”

It is with great pride and pleasure to see River Valley Martial Arts staff and students always represent themselves, their families, their school, and their community so well.
