Ms. Curtis

Ms. Curtis is a Multi-Classroom Teacher in the Advanced Teaching Roles program. She co-teaches with Mrs. Thompson (1st), Mrs. Young (3rd), and Ms. Veltri (3rd).

She has worked in the school system for 20 years and has taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, and she has co-taught 5th-grade math.

Ms. Curtis is Orton-Gillingham trained, and she is a true literacy champion!

New Hanover County Schools (NHCS) will be operating on a 2-hour delay for students Thursday, February 5th due to inclement weather.

MCW doors will open for student arrival at 9:20 am, students will be considered late after 9:40 am.

Due to unsafe travel conditions across many areas of the county, all schools will operate on a remote learning schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Happy Groundhog Day, NHCS! We’ve said it so many times it started to feel like we were living the same day on repeat… After closely monitoring conditions, Tuesday, February 3, is officially a SNOW DAY! Staff will receive further details via email. Enjoy the snow, stay safe, and when you need a break, curl up with a good book. We’ll share any further updates as soon as possible.
