2026 Pre-K PROM… What an AMAZING night to celebrate our PRE-K Graduates!!! It was a great night of friends, food, music and fun!!! The kids enjoyed the NEON/GLOW theme… many core memories weee made!!!

Just a reminder we will be closed tomorrow for the Holiday… Happy Memorial Day…. I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend!

I just realized that I have neglected to post some of spring excitement at SSCC… here is a small recap!!!

It’s National Teacher Appreciation, a chance to recognize the educators making a difference in our students’ lives every day.

Delaware’s 2025–2028 Education Strategic Plan calls for strong teaching, stronger instructional support, and a focus on educator workforce growth and retention. Celebrating great teachers and bright beginnings is part of that work.

Today we Celebrated World Down Syndrome Day (a little early)… Down Syndrome Association of Delaware thank you for always letting us participate… Inclusion in schools is very important… we are so happy to help introduce this to our littlest learners…

Tomorrow is the day… we will have them for sale in the big hall in the morning… Cash or Venmo… Usually we celebrate this on 3/21 (because people with Down Syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome) but since that day falls on Saturday and Red Clay is having an inservice day on Friday we are joining them in celebrating tomorrow!

Today we joined Special Olympics Delaware - Unified Champion Schools in celebrating Special Olympics Delaware (SODE) “Spread The Word Day!!!” We all signed the banner to say we would be INCLUSIVE in every way possible… the kids learned about spreading kindness to everyone!
