Transitions Foundation-NC Post-Secondary support program for students with autism. We support students through the transition process from high school to college.

For the past ten years Monica Herrick and Meredith Moates have been special education teachers and program coordinators for students with autism spectrum disorders and emotional behavioral disorders. Concerns about outcomes for students with autism and other disabilities developed because of a lack of post-secondary support in the community to be gainfully employed. Our goal in the next year is to provide post secondary support for vocational exploration and training for students with autism, as well as, build partnerships with business and healthcare systems for internships. Our goal is to teach the necessary skills at the post secondary level and customize education and employment to give our students with autism meaningful careers.
