Theta had a great meeting today with 27 members and 2 visitors (Fatima Sail and Linda Curtis) present. We missed those who could not join us. In addition to an informative Business meeting, we enjoyed: collecting teddy bears for Convention project; our first Teacup Raffle; the Induction of two new members, Kristen (Dee) Driesbach and Dr. Sandra Waxman; a fun Founder's Day competition, won by Mary Alice Settle; recognition of Milestone Anniversaries; door prizes; and a delicious catered lunch. Thanks to all who helped make our meeting a success!

Theta's Book Club choice for this meeting was "Fire Girl: Essays on India, America, and The In-Between" by Sayantani Dasgupta, Associate Professor of Creative Writing at UNCW. We were honored to have Prof. Dasgupta meet with us this evening. She shared some of her life journey and graciously answered all of our questions. She said she is very proud of both her countries--India and America. If you have not read this book, we highly recommend it.
