My favorite...

I saw a great yard sign while I was Maine. It said, “Make America Kind Again”. And this sign was on the wall in a restaurant we like; and now I like it even more!

Our last day in Acadia was glorious. These are taken from another favorite spot...Duck Brook Bridge.

Hiking in Acadia National Park with some of my favorite people. Check out the size of these rocks!

I always feel so healthy as I pack my wheat bread full of nuts and cranberries to go out hiking. But anyone who knows me knows that it’s this decadent chocolate orange tart that’s at home waiting to be topped with whipped cream and raspberries that really propels me up the mountains!

“What Shall We Do on a Nice Fall Day?” Bob and I know exactly what to do. We’ve just arrived in Bar Harbor, ME where we will hike in Acadia National Park. We will walk on the carriage roads that only allow hikers, cyclists and “All the Pretty Little Horses”. We will take hiking trails to “Go ‘Round the Mountain”, but sometimes we go straight up one side and down the other. Music Makers, do you know which blue card in your new folder represents that sound?

The 2 spots of gold are the insides of 2 9-foot concert grand pianos at Royal Albert Concert Hall, and I heard someone say that both of the pianists got their start by taking Music Makers: At the Keyboard! I have a few spots left in that class so go to hockessinmusic.com to sign up.

I’ve heard 2 wonderful concerts by the BBC orchestra and the Paris National Symphony so far this week, including a wonderful pianist. I’ll be hearing Mozart’s Concerto for two pianos tonight. This is Royal Albert Hall in London, which holds 500 people. We are seated behind the orchestra so we can see the conductors face to face. If you enlarge the picture you will see the space in front of the orchestra is standing room only - no seats!

This is in the Beijing Drum Tower. It’s construction began in the year 1272, but I’m telling you these drummers have got nothing on my Musikgarten kids!
