Attention Wilmington AXO Alumnae

Your local Alpha Chi Omega Alumnae chapter, Xi Omicron Xi, extends an invitation to you to join us at our next gathering and meet some of your sisters here in Wilmington. We will be meeting for Lunch on Saturday, September 3rd at 11:45am at the Boathouse Restaurant located at 6328 Oleander Drive.

We hope you will join us on Sept 3rd and that, after meeting us, you will decide to join our alumnae chapter. The monthly commitment to alumnae membership need not be large. We meet only once a month for lunch from September to May (usually the 1st Saturday in the month) and get-together one Thursday each month for Happy Hour. For both, there are no attendance rules – members attend when they can. We just ask that members let us know prior to each lunch event whether they will be attending so we can make sure the restaurant has a table ready for us. Annual dues are only $25 for new alumnae (first 5 years after graduation) and $45 for all others. This is usually paid at the second event new members attend.

AXΩ Alums – Xi Omicron Xi’s August Happy Hour is on Thursday, August 25th at 5:30 pm at Hops Supply Co. (5400 Oleander Drive). Take a break and join in. As usual -- nothing formal, just come to relax, chat and hang out for an hour or so.

On Sunday, May 1, the Xi Omicron Xi Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega will host the Hall of Commitment ceremony for this year’s UNCW (Kappa Pi) graduating class. There will be cake and refreshments following the ceremony as we celebrate Alpha Chi Omega’s newest Alumnae members! In honor of MacDowell month and Alpha Chi's fine arts heritage, Xi Omicron Xi’s FEBRUARY GATHERING will be at the CAMERON ART MUSEUM (3201 South 17th Street in Wilmington). We will meet at 11:45am, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6th at the Museum, have LUNCH at the CAM Café (located inside the Museum) and afterwards tour the exhibitions on view.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS – It’s that wonderful time of year. Come get in the Holiday spirit. Xi Omicron Xi will hold its annual HOLIDAY PARTY on SUNDAY, DEC 6 at 2 pm at Mary Brown’s. Members are asked to bring an appetizer or sweet treat to share. While together we will wrap purchased items to fulfill our Domestic Violence Shelter Family's Holiday Wish List & fill exam treat bags.

AXΩ Alums – Xi Omicron Xi’s November Happy Hour is on Tuesday, November 24th at 5:30 pm at Las Olas Mexi-Q Grill (1127 Military Cutoff Road, A-2). Take a break and join in. Margaritas (and baja fish tacos) are on special for $3 on Tuesdays + chips and salsa are always free. As usual -- nothing formal, just come to relax, chat and hang out for an hour or so.

Xi Omicron Xi will GET-TOGETHER for LUNCH at noon on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7 at the German Cafe. (located in the Cotton Exchange at 316 Nutt Street, Wilmington, NC). When you come, bring some non-perishable food items suitable for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with you or if you prefer, grocery gift cards. We'll collect these donations after lunch to take to the Domestic Violence Shelter for use by families there in preparing their Thanksgiving dinner.
