Second Story Montessori

Spoooooky shelves only come out for the last two weeks of October and they're highly anticipated every year 🎃

Letter writing on our grid chalkboard ✍️ We erase the letters with a wet paintbrush for extra pencil grip practice and for adding a point of interest!

This month, we kept our cultural studies fairly simple with a mini land/air/water unit and an introduction to the continents 🌎 Next up for October: Seeds and plants 🌿

I 🫶 inventive spelling - this student made his own solar system-themed objects out of art materials, and then we used them as inspiration for some inventive spelling 🚀

The light pad for tracing was an immediate favorite ✨️✍️ I chose this one specifically because of its smaller, lightweight frame and the minimal button/setting options - plus, it's rechargable and cordless!
