Wilmington Middle School e-learning day tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Good Evening,

This is Kevin Feeney, Superintendent of the Wilmington School District. Due to a water main break at Wilmington Middle School, the building will be closed tomorrow, and all Wilmington Middle School students will participate in e-learning.

All other schools — Bruning Elementary School, Stevens Intermediate School, and Wilmington High School — will be in session as normal tomorrow.

Middle school students should follow the e-learning schedule that was previously sent home to parents and students. Teachers will be communicating expectations and supporting students throughout the day.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we address this unexpected situation. Updates will be shared as additional information becomes available.

E-Learning Day Friday, January 23, 2026

Good Morning,

This is Kevin Feeney, Superintendent of the Wilmington School District. Due to the forecast for extreme cold temperatures, all Wilmington schools will observe an E-Learning Day tomorrow. Students will bring their Chromebooks and chargers home today to ensure continued access to learning. Instruction will take place remotely, and attendance will be based on participation in assigned e-learning activities.

Teachers and building principals will communicate specific e-learning plans and expectations directly with students and families. Please note that all extracurricular activities and after-school events will take place as scheduled, as temperatures are forecasted to rise throughout the day.

Thank you for your continued support as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. Please continue to monitor your email and school communications for additional details.

In-person learning January 21

Good Evening,

This is Kevin Feeney, Superintendent of Schools for the Wilmington School District. All Wilmington Schools will be open for in-person learning tomorrow, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22.

Here are the district plans to deal with the cold temperatures for the next two days:

• Dress accordingly – Students should wear proper winter weather clothing such as hats, gloves, and jackets.

• Buildings will be open early for student drop-off if needed

High School 7 a.m.

 Middle School, Stevens Intermediate, and Bruning – 7:30 a.m.

• Buses will be heated before picking up students in the morning and afternoon

• Elementary recess will be indoors

· Don’t hesitate to contact your child’s attendance center if you have any questions or needs.
