Snap back to the summer kickoff when our Mustangs Abroad enjoyed another fantastic global adventure ... this time exploring Japan and South Korea!
From taking in the beauty of Mt. Fuji and riding the iconic Shinkansen bullet train to visiting JAXA (Japan's space exploration agency), ascending the Tokyo Skytree, and learning the art of sushi making, students experienced Japan's unique blend of tradition and innovation.
In South Korea, they explored the vibrant Gwangjang Market, enjoyed a traditional tea experience in Insadong, and stepped back in time while visiting the royal palace. Along the way, students gained a deeper appreciation for new cultures, history, and global perspectives through unforgettable, hands-on learning experiences.

The safety of our students, staff, and families has always been our top priority. Over the past several years, we've experienced multiple traffic accidents in front of our high school campus, and we know improving safety will take our entire community.
Join us for a Virtual Community Meeting on Wednesday, August 12, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. to share your experiences, voice your concerns, and help shape possible solutions.
The more families who participate, the stronger our advocacy for safer roads becomes. We encourage you to invite your neighbors to join in this important discussion. Together, we can help make travel safer for everyone in our community.

It doesn't seem possible that it's only been a few weeks since we were all on campus together.
As August gets underway, we'll be sharing some of the things our students have been up to this summer. But first, we're rolling it all the way back to a few of our favorite moments from the final days of the last school year.

A big THANK YOU to our incredible student leaders and special guest speaker, Kofi Opoku ('25), for helping welcome the Class of 2030 today!
From sharing real tips on navigating high school to giving our newest Mustangs a look at the exciting projects, classes, and opportunities ahead, you made the day helpful and fun.
Thank you for showing what the Mustang family is all about: supporting one another, getting involved, and making MOT Charter a place where everyone belongs.

Today was a great day as we welcomed the Class of 2030 to Freshman Summer Orientation!
More than just learning names and swapping socials, our new classmates got to explore the school, connect with upperclassmen, meet teachers, and learn what makes our community so special!
It's going to be an incredible four years, and we can't wait to see all that your class will accomplish. Welcome, Mustangs! We're SO glad you're here!

Students had a blast at the annual K8 Academy field day!
From tug-of-war, sack races, inflatable obstacle courses, and more, students spent the day celebrating the end of another great school year.
The crowd favorite? "MOT Runs on Dunkin' Dunn!" 🌊 where 28 students successfully hit the target to send our Dean of Students, Mr. Dunn, plunging into the tank! Also taking a dip, Mrs. Romano, Mrs. O'Neill, Mr. Taylor, Ms. Rhodes, and Dr. Green 💦

A huge thank you to Mr. Baynard for all his work organizing & running this amazing event. We are also grateful to the many staff members, National Honor Society students, and MOT alumni volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly. Events like this are only possible because of the incredible people who give their time and energy to our students.

Launching into their final week as Mustangs!
Last Friday, 8th graders wrapped up their last STEM Lab with a bottle rocket launch, putting their engineering skills to the test and watching their creations soar. They also welcomed 4th and 6th-graders to join the fun, helping younger students launch rockets and showing what Mustang leadership is all about.
A great day of sharing final accomplishments and memories as this class prepares for Promotion Day!

A year of handwritten letters turned into a day of unforgettable memories!
Third graders recently met their pen pals from the MOT Senior Center after spending the school year exchanging letters and practicing their cursive writing. Students enjoyed lunch with their senior friends, played games together, and were even treated to a special live concert.
It's a special day that reminds us how powerful a simple handwritten letter can be.
